PTU Tutorial - Hoist The Black Flag

This tutorial is of my own creation and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. This tutorial is for personal use only, using it for monetary gain is against my TOU's.

Supplies Needed:

Mask of choice. I used my mask# 62, which you can get here: http://mistressv-signaturecollections.blogspot.com/

Plug-ins Xero – Bad Dream

Font of your choice.

Let's begin shall we.

Open new image 600x600.

Select map. Apply my mask#62. Merge mask layer visible. Add a drop shadow

Select waves, resize to (600x456). Copy and paste on top of mask.

Select frame#10, no need to resize. Copy and paste over center of waves. Add a drop shadow.

Select tube, resizing will vary. Copy and paste behind frame. Erase any excess you do not need. Make it look like she is coming out of the frame.

Select Parrot#2, resize to (150x150). Copy and paste to tubes shoulder. Add a drop shadow.

Select cutlass, no need to resize. Copy and paste to bottom left side of tag. Add a drop shadow. Select again, this time mirror image. Copy and paste to bottom right side of tag. Add a drop shadow.

Select ship#3, no need to resize. Copy and paste to right side of tag behind cutlass. Add a drop shadow.

Select the jolly rodger, resize to (200x200). Copy and paste to right side of tag behind the cutlass. Add a drop shadow.

Select compass#2, no need to resize. Copy and paste to left side of tag behind cutlass. Add a drop shadow.

Select rumbottle, no need to resize. Copy and paste on left side of tag, behind cutlass. Add a drop shadow.

Select treasurechest#5, resize to (200x242). Copy and paste at bottom center of tag. Add drop shadow.

Select piratessign, resize to (100x83). Cope and paste inside the lid of the treasure chest.

Add a circle text around your frame. I wrote “Hoist The Black Flag Ye Matey”. I picked a dark brown and a light yellow. I then selected effects, 3d effects, inner bevel and chisel in white. Then added a drop shadow.

Add name, url, copywrite and watermark.

Merge all layers.

Go to effects, plugins, xero, Bad Dream. Play with the settings until you find the look you want, then apply.

Resize, to the size you want your finished tag to be.

Save as PNG.

And woohoo, you are finished!

**Scrapbook Page**

Open a new image (800x800).

Select paper # 28, resize to (800x800). Copy and paste to new image.

Select finished tag. Copy and paste to center of paper.

Merge all layers.

Save as a jpeg.

And woohoo, you are finished!
